How the Audit Works
Our automated scanner (scripts/cookie-scanner.js) performs the following checks monthly:
- Navigates to every public page on www.rapidlaunch.ie using a headless browser
- Interacts with the cookie consent banner to test all consent states
- Records all cookies set via
document.cookieand HTTP response headers - Identifies third-party cookies and their providers
- Categorises each cookie by type (Essential, Functional, Analytics, Marketing)
- Cross-references with the site_settings database to determine which conditional cookies are active
- Compares results against the previous audit and flags any changes
- Generates a report and alerts the compliance team if unexpected cookies are detected
If the scanner detects a new cookie that was not present in the previous audit, an alert is sent to the compliance team, and this page is updated within 24 hours along with our Cookie Policy.
